Now that you have chosen your research topic and questions, you are ready to delve into the reading on that subject to explore what previous authors have written about. The aim of this work is to specify the research problem, while reformulating your own research question. In addition to this, you need to know more about it.
For this work, you will need to briefly summarize what the texts you identified in the previous work are about, then specify a research problem, including a question.
Your work should include:
Title
A clear statement of your research problem and question. What do you want to know? Why is this an important question? (max ½ page)
Summarize and analyze between 4-6 peer-reviewed scientific articles on your question or similar issues (2-2 ½ pages).
Summarize how your research question improves or builds on existing literature (max ½ page).
A complete list of bibliographic references.
The details:
2.5-3.5 pages, not including the list of references (1000-1500 words). May be a bit longer if you add the introduction and research question from your previous work.
Use MLA or other formatting for in-text citations and the list of references.
Use page numbers
12 point font, double spaced
