Description

Students will be required to submit a research paper on a subject related to employee compensation that requires scholarly inquiry and substantiation or support of an argument or proposition. It should not be a purely descriptive effort, but a subject that requires students to research and argue their points! The schedule of research paper deliverables is as follows:

  • Module 2: Research Paper: Topic Approval
  • Module 4: Research Paper: Outline
  • Module 6: Research Paper: References
  • Module 8: Research Paper: Submission

The research paper must be at least 10 pages in length, and must cite a minimum of ten research-based sources. A research-based source is a refereed journal or other written source that is academically credible (that excludes Wikipedia, Newsweek, and CNN.) Also, personal opinions are not important when writing for academic purposes. What the instructor is looking for is students’ ability to research the work of qualified experts, and then present that research in a manner that supports their propositions or arguments. Reports must be consistent with current APA guidelines, including grammar, punctuation, spelling, textual citations, and reference citations.

Research papers will be submitted to the plagiarism prevention servic
