Before studying attitudes and persuasion most people assume we all are motivated to think carefully about our attitudes and think carefully about being persuaded. That is, the processes associated with attitudes and persuasion are assumed to be purely cognitive and accurate. We also assume our attitudes and behaviors are mostly consistent with each other and that this consistency between to two is a good thing. Address these assumptions by citing information from the discussion presentations, the text, and any other useful sources. Submit your original and response Discussion Posts in the Dialogue under Week 4 forum. You can either click on the link above to directly access the Dialogue Page or you can click on the side menu link. When you are on the Dialogue Page, click on the group highlighted for you. Once inside, click on Discussion Board option, then click on Add Thread to create a space for your post. Click Submit to make your post available to the rest of the class. To respond to other students’ threads, click on Reply button in the bottom right corner inside of a message. Make sure that when you paraphrase, most of the words are your own words. Otherwise, it is best to keep the words exactly as they are and to put quotation marks around the sentence(s). Make sure to adequately pull from at least four sources including the presentation and cite all work.
