Week 3 Assignment
Business architecture
is extremely important for architectural operation in every domain and
intrinsically requires being present and carried out accordingly. It supports
enormously in offering the corporate worth of succeeding architecture to the
key shareholders and return on investment (ROI). Business Architecture Designs
or Blueprints are the same as any dimension of a business. In fact, Business
Architecture enables a company to determine what improvements its products or
services should bring. It also allows them to collect the data that was
received and to plan for the future.
Given the previous
circumstance, if a business is already in existence, the business can use
all aspects of the organization and external details, such as
the clients, overall market, taxation, international prices, expenditures,
inflation, recession etc. to help prepare how the business might prosper. With
that being said, it would not be smart to sell an expensive item in an area
where that business is in a poor area and serve comparatively poor
customers in that marketplace. In
this instance, proper business designs will ensure the business is running as
expected. This document will initially justify the
choice of business structure for Adopt-a-Farm (AaF) Company in its existing
condition, then document and recognize the high-level (advanced) needs and
build the business capability model and value chain of the company. Finally, it
discusses how the company’s structural model will vary in case it migrates to
the cloud computing.
Service-driven or
Product-driven Structure of Adopt-a-Farm Company
Businesses blueprints
are an important planning components in any organization. When it comes to the
business planning, one of the main challenges is to distinguish on whether a
business is a product-driven or service driven business. Just as the term indicates, a product-driven
business sells physical items, while a service-driven business sells a service.
According to Brandenberg (2018) the difference between the two is “the
product business sells a physical, tangible product, while the service business
owner sells his/her skills as the primary product” (para 2).
With that said, after
careful study of AaF, it's determined that this business is a service-driven
functional structure. AaF is primarily a
service-driven firm for the following reasons:
·
AaF does not produce
any specific physical product (Laureate, n.d.).
·
AaF aids in attaining
suitable farming/agriculture land to provide a service (Laureate,
n.d.).
·
AaF purpose is to
reach as many customers as possible in order to execute a helpline support
platform that permits farmers and people to benefit from one another (Laureate, n.d.).
By customers turning to the farmers and
getting their individual items, the farmers get open support in exchange for
help to the individuals. It is a place typically for individuals serving
environment and people. AaF is non-profit in all manners and henceforth it
can’t be product-driven (Lankhorst, 2012).
