Gather information about the country’s development indicators, such as HDI and literacy rate, access to health care, environmental health, and overall quality of life for the citizens. Brainstorm a plan for development for the country you chose that takes the following questions into account: What is the overall quality of life like in the country? What indicators helped you arrive at this conclusion? What are the country’s most important natural resources? What is the skill set of the population? On what types of industries should the country focus? Why? What strategies can the country use to promote investment in its industries? What steps can the country’s leaders take to promote sustainable development? 4 After brainstorming your plan for development, write a letter to the country’s leaders in which you convince them of your development plan.
