Procedure: a) Retrieve the file named cet201_assign01_stepD_groupX.xlsx (the X being your assigned group number) that you completed in Lab Exercise #1.
b) Save the file as cet201_assign02_setup_groupX.xlsx.
c) Create a new worksheet in the file named “concrete_takeoff”.
d) Create the tables shown in each Excel Quick Tip in Chapter 5 of the text and label them with the type of concrete component each is to be used for in the row above the table.
e) Copy the worksheet to another one called “concrete_test” and one called “concrete_problems”.
f) Use the “concrete_test” worksheet to test the formulas in your tables with the values from the examples shown in Table 1 below; your results should match those in the examples.
g) If your tables are operating properly, continue to step
(h); otherwise, return to step (d) to repair your tables and recreate the worksheets. h) Use the “concrete_problems” worksheet to take off the relevant quantities from the Review Problems on pages 85-87 listed in Table 1 below.
i) Save the completed file.
j) Save the file as cet201_assign02_wendys_groupX.xlsx, and delete the “concrete_test” and “concrete_problems” worksheets. k) Perform the takeoffs for the interior floor slab and continuous footing for the Wendy’s project in the plans uploaded to the “project” folder in Blackboard. Use the “concrete_takeoff” worksheet to carry this out, keeping each individual component separate and using, tailoring, and removing tables you created from the worksheet as needed. l) Save the completed file, and upload the two competed files to the Blackboard (NCC Online)
