Discussion on tourism space and tourist place for pairs of gateways

economics

Description

TOPIC: Discuss tourism space and tourist place for one of

the following pairs of gateways: Singapore or Kuala

Lumpur? Which?

A lot of people might be confused about Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, since they

are close to each other and seem to both belong to Malaysia. As a matter of fact,

Singapore is an independent and developed country, while, Kuala Lumpur is a

capital city from a developing country, Malaysia. People living in Singapore are

mostly Chinese, which occupies around 75% of the population. In comparison to

Kuala Lumpur, it consists of 44% Chinese people and 46% Bumiputera. This

composition of ethnicity contributes to the similarity and difference in terms of

culture and tourism between these two places. From my perspective, even

though Kuala Lumpur is the most prosperous and populous city in Malaysia, it is

fully controlled and regulated by Malaysian government compared to Singapore,

which enjoys absolute freedom and does not have any limitation. As a result,

Singapore is a tourism space due to the fact that it is a modern, secure, developed

country with high-end technology which enables people to explore the whole

space freely, while Kuala Lumpur is an affordable tourist place blended with

history and multi-culture which is good place to travel, follow the crowd, have

nothing to worry about and kick back and relax.TOPIC: Discuss tourism space and tourist place for one of
