Tax Research, Case study, The assignment consists of 3 parts:(Tax memo and client letter) 

(1) Submission of a Source Sheet - Based on your research, you must submit a source sheet that lists all of the relevant primary sources that you found in your research, the proper citation for each source, and what did you learndd from each source.

(2) Submission of Tax Memorandum - You must submit a professionally-written, well-researched tax memorandum analyzing your assigned case. The memorandum should be one that would be written to a tax partner who asked you to research the issue. Therefore, you can assume that the reader of the memorandum is knowledgeable in technical tax matters. Your memo should be in the proper format, including proper and complete citations. The memo should not exceed 2,000 words. 

(3) Submission of a Client Letter - You must also submit a professionally-written letter to the client. Assume the client is not "tax savvy" so your letter should be written in a way that a non-tax person can understand it.
