Throughout this seminar experience, you have explored foundational content, past and current
research, and trends and innovations in the field of Information Systems, Software, and
Management. In addition to acquiring this body of knowledge, you have also considered possible
areas for future research in the field.
For this Assignment, you will write a 10-page Final Paper that addresses relevant theories and
empirical research, leading to a significant research topic, problem, and research question.

Reflection
This course has covered a wide variety of topics within the field of Information Systems,
Software, and Management. Your focus thus far has been on how you may incorporate what you
have learned into your DIT research. However, it is also important to consider how the
the knowledge you have developed will impact your future as you follow a career path in
Information Systems.
As you consider your learning experiences in this class, how would you answer the following
questions? Can you evaluate foundational literature and theories to build your own models in the
field of IT? Do you have a clear picture of the evolution of current concepts and theories in IT
and future trends? Are you able to synthesize what you researched and read? Do you feel
comfortable directing discussions on current research trends? Do you have a strong
understanding of IT systems in terms of the relationships between users, IT professionals, and
computer systems?
For this Assignment, you will reflect on the articles, presentations, and Discussions from the last
8 weeks, and you will consider how the knowledge you have developed in these topics will
