MLA format for all written work is required. A minimum of two resources is expected to support your ideas for all performance critiques. Wikipedia does not count as a source to support your ideas. Be sure to cite each resource. Remember to write the movie and/or performance you are writing about on your citation or bibliography list. A good paragraph has six to seven sentences. Think about your sentence structure and how you say what it is you want to express. Below are ideas and concepts to consider when writing your performance critique. Be sure to incorporate at least five of the seven concepts listed below. Part One – Introduction A good thesis statement is found in your opening paragraph. Simply state in one sentence what you are going to talk about or what you would like to discuss. You may also address the details about the performance or movie, such as the name, plot or theme, styles of dance performed, etc.
