How does packet switching work?

computer science

Description

How does packet switching work? This is a technique of breaking data records into small packets or masses in order to send them crosswise a network. Imagine that you take a data file, maybe an email or a text which is 2 Megabytes in extent. You want to direct this file to somebody in another republic. When you direct the file, it isn’t directed as one text (remember the phone call), as an alternative it is wrecked up into lots of small 'data packs'. Our 2MB file would be wrecked up into chunks of 512 bytes in size.
