How to installing Sun Java compiler, jGRASP, and the Student Data File required for course text

computer science

Description

I actually just need help formatting my java code. I have made the code, all I need is for it to be properly formatted and checked. There is a problem in one of the lines and I am not sure how to fix it. So if I can get input that would be great. Also, if you are looking at my code, please do not deviate from what I have written. It just needs a correction. My instructor is adamant about only using what we learned from the class.

There should not be too much to do. The code should be, right? It just needs formatting and I probably missed something that I did not see. Also, as stated in my main post, please do not deviate from what I have written. My instructor only wants us to use what we learn in class and nothing else.

THE INSTALLATION SHOULD GO SMOOTH, BUT ONE NEVER KNOWS!
1) Installing Java instructions:

1b) then find the "Java Platform (JDK) 8u121” (or latest version) to download.
1c) Scroll down the Web page and select radio button named: ìAccept License Agreement

1f) now select ‘Run’ and follow directions (this will download the installer which will then install java compiler on your PC).
2) Download & Install jGRASP (by Auburn University) instructions:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PRE-NOTE: This is a very good tool for writing Java code, compiling, and running all from one place.
If it wasn’t for this tool..you would have to use a word editor, then have to compile the Java
PGM file created by word editor, and then you would have to call and the compiled Java pgm file.
Quite a few steps..write? you bet..that is why I am recommending to download and use the jGRASP toolÖ
2a) Download and install the Handy Dandy tool that will allow you to write Java code, compile, and run
from one tool called jGRASP, by Auburn University (FREE) at http://www.jgrasp.org/
Please continue with the following steps:
2b) next, select ‘download’ found at the top left of Web Page.
2c) then, scroll down the Web page and Select jGRASP.exe for your computer Operating System.
NOTE: You don’t have to fill in requested information before you download..its your decision.
2d) A separate window will pop open (don’t forget to turn of pop-up blocker if the window does not appear)
with options to save or run from window. I recommend you save the file for future use.
To save file, select ‘Save’ and then navigate to location you want to place the file on your computer. Now select ‘Save’
2e) Once file is downloaded and all went well, you can select ‘Run’ from the pop up window to install the
jGRASP application and then follow install directions.
2f) please see post in "Course Information" titled "why jGRASP" which will give more details and get started help with using jGRASP.
