In the 1968 film “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”, the main character Caracatus Potts is an impoverished inventor who is trying to commercialize his inventions. He discovers that the candy made by a machine he has invented creates a whistling noise when blown through due to the holes created during the manufacturing process. He calls his new candy a “Toot Sweet”. Excited about his new product, Mr. Potts immediately approaches a well-established local candy factory “The Scrumptious Sweets Co.” owned by Lord Scrumptious with the intent of selling his candy.
