In this essay I will choose a piece of art from the modernism time period as well as a piece from our current time period. I will talk about the famous painting “The Scream” painted by Edvard Munch, in 1893 and the meaning behind it and why I chose it. I will also discuss another art piece “Large Biters” painted by Pawel Sliwinski. I will talk about what this painting means, why I chose it and why I believe this painting meets the definition of the expressionist movement.
