2. Choose one of the
following questions for Assignment 5:
a) Is the concept of Indigenous knowledge new and compelling to you?
If so, why is this the case? Or perhaps you are familiar with Indigenous
knowledge through your personal or professional life. What is its impact on
your workplace/community?
b) Do you support learning through narrative and storytelling? Explain
why or why not.
c) Discuss the concept of grace as an aspect of spirituality.
d) Do any one of the Confucian, Hindi, Maori, Islamic or African
Indigenous perspectives on learning resonate with you? Have you been involved
in learning through any of these lenses? Alternately, you may wish to describe
why you would like to encounter one of these perspectives in the future-as a
learner or as a professional.
e) Has critical theory informed your personal or professional
educational path?
f) Do you find feminist pedagogy a beneficial perspective from which
to view learning for adults? If so, explain why. If not, explain why this is
so.

chapters other than the 3 you will read to prepare for this assignment. The
author and subject indices at the back of the textbook are useful tools for
locating this information. You may also access secondary sources, such as
scholarly articles and websites. In addition, you may include discussion of
your personal experience along with the theoretical explanations. You will
write a substantive (500-600
words, double spaced, 12 font, 1 margins) document, which includes an
introduction and a conclusion. Create your document in a word processing
program (eg. Word), and use the word count tool to calculate how long your
assignment is. Provide citations in the text and reference list at the end of
your posting using APA (5th
or 6th ed.) style.
