Students will actively engage in analyzing current organizational practices that illustrate key Organizational Behavior concepts. Each chapter provides a close-up example of specific ways in which organizations have been using OB principles to improve a wide variety of different aspects of organizational functioning (entitled Winning Practices).

ASSIGNMENT: section (listed below). Students will individually address and research an article that coincides with the Effects of Organizational Structure. Choose an article related to the Effects of Organizational Structure and then, compare and contrast the philosophies of management and how each affects organizations and (their) behaviors.  Articles must be recent in publication, 2012 to present (no older than 4 years) and easily accessible to the reader. Articles should contrast local practices to national practices worldwide, global practices. Each article submitted will be at least one (1) page in length and adhere to APA style and format.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR EACH ARTICLE:

  1. - Minimum of one (1) page, APA style, and format.
  2. - Articles must be recent in publication, 2012 to present (no older than 4 years) and easily accessible to the reader.
  3. Outline of the article: 
  4. - The first paragraph should address the Winning Practices selected (introduction).
  5. - The second paragraph should address the research of the situation/practice. The article should be combined with an outside source (periodical) that is relevant to the subject matter (tie the article researched to the Winning Practice).
  6. - The third paragraph should address the writer’s reaction/opinion to the Winning Practice and the (researched) article.
