Late Adulthood

history

Description

A major area of focus during late adulthood is on losses that include the loss of physical and mental ability among many others. For some people, late adulthood can become a feared time of life because of these losses. How can you integrate the reality of this phase of life into your theology and your understanding of creation? Don't forget to look at both sides of the coin: Erikson's concept of this phase recognizes both "Ego Integrity" (looking back on one's life and seeing purpose and accomplishment) and "Despair" (looking back and grieving what has been lost/missed).
