are not sure if your industry, select Canada Industry Report (NAICS) and select
the subcategory. Remember to look across the different tabs to get more
information)

Industries and Reports. Many have a completed SWOT)

by Subject or Topic, Dossier, Industry)

your research that you will have to compile and find meaning

Trends are things that are
either increasing or decreasing. Opportunities are positive trends. Threats are
negative trends.
q
PROVIDE SOURCES! Include
all the information that you’ve viewed/used in this section as an APA citation
AND in the Reference list.

You should research
a minimum of 2-3 different sources
o
Citations should be
included in each section

Under the Trend column, describe the overall
trend happening and where possible, include %, ranking, rating, etc. to provide
context
q
Under the Impact of Trend & Time Frame,
explain why this is important to the buyer’s industry and the potential impact
(O) or (T). If there is a timeline included or forecasted, include this
information
q
You should target to
include at least 2-3 trends per factor
q
Remember that
Demographic trends are not the same as a Demographic market definition. It is a
trend (e.g. aging population, not age 65+)
