Computer security challenges are increasing with current technological developments. In addition, hackers are coming up with new ways of conducting malicious attacks.  Lack of data security habits in the organization has exposed the organization to different types of security breaches. For instance, networking continues to expose the organization to computer security challenges because computer systems are linked, and this makes it possible for a small data interference to cause great damage. Computer security risks are hard to deal with because viruses and malicious attacks keep evolving. Moreover, the lack of an updated computer security system makes it possible for data to be altered or interfered with by unauthorized parties.

The organisation is facing several computer security challenges. These challenges include loss of confidential data through system interference, personal information loss, malicious attacks by hackers, and virus attacks that mostly affect the computer software. These challenges have led to loss of income, damage to reputation, and in severe cases, a complete shut-down.

The aim of this study is to identify all the potential computer security breaches and threats that an organisation is prone to both in the past and at the current moment. This study will be done through secondary data, conducting interviews, and completion of questionnaires by management and employees from a specific organization. This study is intended to enable the organization to come up with effective measures that will ensure protection of data from any viruses or malicious attacks and ensure smooth operation of the organization.

The target population is the Information Systems and Network Department employees. There are currently over 1000 staff members in these Divisions including both permanent and third-party person types.
