One of the most important brands in HORECA sector (Hotels,
Restaurants and Coffeehouse) wants to analyse the shoppers’
behaviour in 3 bars which sell their products. The 3 bars are located
in Madrid (Spain) and they are open 7 days a week from 7am to
12am.
In order to do so, they need to collect several shoppers’ data such as
number of people in each bar and number of people who walk past
the bar front door and do not get in the bar (passers-by).
The brand does not have the suitable know-how to obtain and analyse
all that data. Because of this, they decide to get in contact with a
very well-known consulting firm, specialized in Data Science. After
assessing the proposal, the firm accepts the project and agree with
the brand to collect data in the 3 bars during September, October
and November 2018. After this period, the firm will present all the
results and main insights to the brand during a meeting that will take
place at the beginning of 2019.
You work for the firm as a Data Scientist expert and you are assigned
to this project with the role of Project Leader.
