Open the Salesum document, and add functions to
calculate the average, Max, Min and Count on rows 18-21 in columns B-E. 2.
In Cell B25 type an answer to the following
question: Is the average computed in
B18-E18 a good predictor of how much a new expense might cost, should we
incur a new expense next year? Why or
why not? Save the document on your
computer as FirstNameLastNameSalesum.xls. |

Continuing with your Salesum.xls document, copy the
titles in cells B6:E6 and paste them into cells B9:E9. 2.
Select cells A9:E15.
Press the F11 key at the top of your keyboard to create a bar chart. 3.
Re-arange the chart if required so that the months
(Jan-Apr) appear on the bottom axis of the chart, and the Legend contains the
expenses. 4.
Add a trendline to the chart for the ‘Salaries’
expense. 5.
Right click on the trendline to add the option of
showing the trendline equation on the chart as well. 6.
Copy and paste this equation into cell B27 of Sheet
1. 7.
In cell B28, type the predicted value for August for
the salaries expense based on this equation to show your understanding of it. |
For the rest of this assignment, create a Word
document to type your answers to each question. Save the document as FirstNameLastNameAssignment1.doc.
You will upload both of these files using the ‘Browse’ button at the
bottom of the assignment to submit your assignment. Alternatively, with extremely legible
handwriting I will accept scanned pages of your hand written assignment in a
