Problem Statement: A brief statement (three or four sentences long) of the decision maker’s problem or dilemma. In addition to introducing the decision maker and his/her role, this paragraph must capture the essence of the current organizational dilemma and the end result or state they aspire to. Situation Analysis: In this one or two paragraph statement you will need to identify the main issues and context that is important to understand in resolving the organizational dilemma and/or making a decision among alternative options. This is not a summary of the case, but a well written and concise presentation of relevant aspects of the case. A bulleted list of the decision criteria the main character in the case should use to help them resolve their dilemma. A statement indicating why it is important should accompany each decision criterion, as well as how each criterion could be assessed, and what it would take for an option to be recommended based on this criterion.
