Create your infrastructure diagram with any drawing
program/tool that can be used for network diagrams.
preferably, Microsoft Visio 2016 or later. It should for example have
widely accepted network symbols and appropriate connections lines. (MS Word does
not).
·
Download Microsoft Visio through your Azure from here: https://azureforeducation.microsoft.com/devtools .
Follow the steps you went through to download Windows Server 2016 in week 2
·
There is no Visio for MacOS. You may
have to either install it in a virtual machine such as the one created in Topic
2 or find another alternative like, "draw.io".
An online version of
draw.io is at: https://app.diagrams.net/ or https://www.draw.io/
A desktop version can be
download at: https://github.com/jgraph/drawio-desktop/releases
If you are new to the
software, this video should help you get started: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbrOIGbYHHw&t=7s
·
To submit your Visio .vsdx file
(and any other not recognized by LoudCloud) first compress as a zip file before
uploading.
I have
attached the PowerPoint presentations I went through in the videos
You will
be assigned a corporation from the Company Profiles interactive media piece
located within the Course Materials to complete the items listed below.
1. Examine
the corporate profile.
2. Propose a
network infrastructure topology for your corporation. Using the corporate
profile, build a network diagram that utilizes xyz devices as appropriate. Be
sure to include a demilitarized zone (DMZ) for your outward-facing servers. For
the time being, focus only on the network infrastructure of your main or
corporate office.
3. Create a
Visio (or equivalent) diagram that illustrates this network infrastructure.
