Review the SláinteCare report and explain how an IT strategy should be formulated to support the implementation of at least one of the strategies being pursued within this report. Explain how you would align IT with your selected strategy. In presenting the IT related work that would need to be done to support the proposed strategy, you are expected to show what would need to be done to address value considerations in relation to the IT investment.
It may be easiest if you were to focus on
just one IT application to support the strategy you select but you are not
limited to this approach. You are expected to apply learning from chapter 12
of Wager to this work so strategy formulation and IT asset considerations
should definitely form part of this section of your essay.
A second part of this essay requires a discussion on how you would consider “value” when constructing the project proposal for the implementation of the selected IT application.
What steps are necessary in order to be able to clearly present the value to be achieved from the project and what would you do in this specific case to support achievement of value.
You are expected to apply learning from
chapter 15 of the 1st, 2nd or 3rd editions of Wager (or chapter 7 of the online
