Description

Students are required to analyse and evaluate an existing crisis communications case study selecting one from the suggested list or one of their own choosing in consultation with the unit coordinator.

This analysis and evaluation should outline the topic of their case study and the approach taken by the organisation. Students are expected to critically analyse a range of communication materials including media releases, company statements, media coverage (articles, TV and radio transcripts) and social media posts (if relevant) to evaluate the crisis communication response. Analysis will draw on relevant theory to situate the argument within contemporary debates on crisis communications and issues management.
