Description
Purpose:
Design and implement Web pages for your DB project ( a DVD
rental, Library system, Home Rental or you choose one):
1. All the pages
2. Take the sample codes from chapter 3 or chapter 9 and
modify/add it to be your own project pages
3. Make sure you use a header page and a footer page using
include() function
4. Apply necessary CSS formats.
There are two parts of your project:
1. Database
Tables (attributes and primary/foreign keys)Stored
Procedures: Procedures should be created to manipulate your database via the
PHP calls. You should insert some sample records for testing.The database
manipulation should include INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE operations For this part,
you will create a .sql script file so that I can reproduce your database from
MySQL prompt.
2. Web pages
includes all the pages, database connection file, header
file, footer file.Create a zip file that contains all the files above including
the folders so that I can unzip it and reproduce the same files and structures.
The example of functions of an application:
search book: a user can search books by isbn, title, and
author. A drop down box ......
delete book: a
librarian can delete an obsolete/broken book by .....
