The term paper would be evaluated based on the three
criteria, namely 1) Content
(literature review and critical evaluation of the issues
informed by academic literature- 50% marks), 2) Coherence (how arguments are
analytically linked, 20% marks) and 3) Clarity in presentation (ability to
communicate effectively, not English proficiency)- 15% marks, 4) Processes:
Literature search and coverage of bibliography
for the topic submission- 15% marks)
Formatting specifications: Times New Roman/ DejaVu Serif
font, 12 point font size, and 1.5 line space. The final submission must be
neatly formatted with headings and sub-headings numbered and highlighted bold.
Follow APA formatting for bibliography and it must be
ranged alphabetically. All
bibliographic material must be typed single-spaced and
listed in numbers or bullet points.
Students are expected to present a comprehensive
literature review or secondary data analysis or both on the topic of their
choice and critically discuss the different issues related to the chosen topic.

`Organisation of the Paper
• A title page: The title should accurately describe your paper.
• Abstract of the paper: The abstract should be about 150-250 words and highlight
(doesn’t mean
that you have to put it in bold letters!) the major findings and
contribution of your paper.
• Introduction: At the beginning of the paper you need a clear statement about what
you are trying to look at in this paper. In other words,
tell the reader in an opening
paragraph what the paper is about and how this has been
structured.
• Main Text: It should be divided into various sections.
• Conclusion: A summary and recapitulation of your key findings or arguments.
You can also include major limitations while approaching
that specific topic.
• References: A list of references should be arranged alphabetically at the end by
keeping the author’s last
name first by following your citation style guide (APA style)
