For this assignment, you must conduct a literature review regarding the forensic implications of new uses for email and mobile devices.

Your formal academic paper must contain the following:

·         Current literature review style and formatting as indicated by the NCU Academic Success Center

·         Content organized by ideas, rather than by authors

·         Forensic implications of new uses for email and mobile devices

Length: 6-10 page academic paper (excluding title and reference pages)

Resources: Cite a minimum of 10 scholarly resources

Week 6

Forensics for Email and Mobile Devices and New Scenarios 

This week, you will study forensics concerning email and mobile devices; however, the key objective is to extend this foundation into new solutions and systems that you find around you. Your objective should be to filter the content and apply critical thinking to discern the forensic implications of innovations and updates that complement the academic sources.

When reading the resources for this week, think about recent developments whereby mobile devices become universal tools within the home and organizations. You may also think about new data acquisition techniques by computing and the Internet of Things, including the Industrial Internet of Things. You should also consider the extreme risks implied by the universal connectedness or ubiquitous computing within a world of vulnerabilities and threats. Again, you can only earn points for items that are linked to forensic investigations. 

Be sure to focus on technology development or a specific industry. For example, one might consider power or sewage and review the implications of new devices and newer devices in the control processes such as SCADA. Be sure to maintain focus on the forensic implications and do not fall into a trap of considering technology without a complete focus on the forensic implications.
