Introduction
The Department of Education as a complex organization is a learner centered public institution that is continuously providing quality education to better serve its stakeholders. Partnership with the different stakeholders, private sectors and civic organizations is a powerful mechanism in addressing the perennial problems being confronted by the educational system.
Specifically, Adopt-a-School Program is one of the mandated programs of the public schools in the Philippines which aims to motivate its stakeholders to the fullest in extending a hand towards educational productivity. The local communities, business entities, private agency, and other non-government organizations joined hands together in making a difference for students’ academic and extra-curricular achievements. The program targets to continuously improve, better serve the learners to build a child friendly environment that supports all types of learners.
ASP is known to have been the answer in addressing the problems in the educational
system. It was considered the most valuable asset programs implemented nationwide for it
supports the financial and physical improvement of the school in materializing the learners’
needs to educational development. In fact, according to Naniong (2019), it is accepted in
reality that education of a child is not the sole responsibility of the school. Public schools
need the support of the various partners in ensuring that complete and basic quality
education is provided to the school children. It encourages the establishment of strong tie

and mutual relationship with various stakeholders. Every Filipino child deserves to finish
school and reap the benefits of education.
