Description
For this week’s Discussion, first choose a country in the E.U. and research regulation directed at protecting children. Choose a product category to examine relative to those regulations. Then, answer the following questions: What specific examples of regulation did you find for the country you chose to research? Is there an overarching theme to the regulation? How does that affect your chosen industry? What is your point of view regarding the appropriateness of these restrictions? Would you favor more or less restriction? Why? Should the E.U. develop a common policy toward advertising that targets children? Why or why not? What barriers to such a policy might exist?
