The objective of this project is to develop a software tool (MATLAB program), the Dummy Transcriptionist, that recognizes five spoken words from the recorded enunciations and the associated integral transforms with kernel �(�, ω) = �−�ωt . The Dummy Transcriptionist recognizes five words listed below and will type the enunciated/recorded word on the computer display. For words that are not parts of the Dummy Transcriptionist’s vocabulary, the program will type and say (play the sound recording) “I Beg Your Pardon”. For example, given the spoken word “sunshine” the program will type/display “Sunshine” on the screen. For the spoken word “Sun-tan”, which is not one of the five words listed, the program will type “I Beg Your Pardon” and then plays a recorded enunciation of “I beg your pardon”.
