Unit Summary
The purpose of
assessment for this unit is to gather evidence of the student’s competence
against the elements, as well as skills and underpinning knowledge, required Lead and manage people. This unit describes the performance
outcomes, skills and knowledge required to lead and manage people including
in teams and support and encourage their commitment to the organisation. It
requires the ability to lead by example and manage performance through
effective leadership. The unit applies to individuals who
operate independently and are responsible for leading and motivating people
and teams. This includes supervisors, operational and senior managers. The unit applies to all tourism,
travel, hospitality and event sectors. No occupational licensing, certification
or specific legislative requirements apply to this unit at the time of
publication. |

Lead and manage people
There are three (3) assessment tasks in this unit,
and you must complete all assessments satisfactorily in order to be marked
competent in this unit.
The assessment for SITXHRM003
consists of:
Assessment 1 – Short Answers
You are required to address all questions to
achieve competence. Your trainer will provide you with instructions for time
frames and dates to complete this assessment.
Once completed, carefully read the responses you have provided and check
for completeness. Your trainer will provide you with feedback and the result
you have achieved
Assessment 2 – Project
The assessment task for this project consists of 2 parts, Part A and
Part B.
For Part A you are
required to select a scenario provided in this assessment which most closely
resembles your sector in the TH&E industry.
Based on the chosen sector you are required to demonstrate your ability
to:

measure KPIs.

Use new
or innovative approaches to meet the KPIs.
