You can complete this assignment in groups of 2-3. I recommend selecting partners from within your Discovery Room
teams. In this way you will be able to use the work in both assignments. If you do your work with a partner from outside
your team, you will have to get their permission to use anything from the collaborative work and you will have to cite
this marketing assignment as a source in the HOSP 161 report.
These are the steps and they will inform your assignment: 1. Select a demographic segment from the following list (one may be provided for you to avoid duplication) The Discovery Room’s clientele consists of the following groups (in order of popularity):
a) Men and women over the age of 50 many of whom are either professionals or retired and dine as couples or with groups of friends
b) Vancouver Island University faculty and staff (who dine for personal and professional reasons)
c) Couples (between 28 and 40 years old) d) Family members of students enrolled in the Hospitality or Culinary program
e) Domestic and international students who are in, or have friends in, the Hospitality or Culinary program
