This assignment is designed to give you the opportunity to build the web application specified in CW1A and use server-side scripting (ASP.NET) to collect, store and retrieve external data (from a database).
The information below guides you through the stages involved.
You will be assessed on both a demonstration of the finished web application (during which you will be
asked questions) and the way you have documented the task.
Deliverables
1. Updated background and rationale for web application, clearly highlighting any changes from the original rationale (approx. 1000 words).
2. Updated designs (ERD, UML, Database Schema, User Interface, Functional Requirements, User Stories etc…), clearly highlighting what changed from the original designs and explaining the reasoning behind these changes.
3. Technical report detailing the coding and database management activities carried out to satisfy the project design requirements. This should include concise explanations of the ASP.NET-specific technology and architecture underlying your solution, much of which will be drawn from your record of answers to the practicals set during the module (approx. 500 words).
4. Evidence of testing, including a basic test plan.
5. A digital copy of the system source files – provide this via a publicly accessible link embedded
within your report. Either make the code available on a public code repository (e.g. GitHub) or
compress the project files into a zip file and make this available via a cloud storage system (e.g.
OneDrive).
