This
chapter presents the findings and conclusion of the correlational research derived
in the conduct of the study which is to prove if there is a correlation between
the decline and imposition of MECQ or GCQ for March to August throughout the
province of Laguna.

1: March COVID-19 Result
On
March 15, 2020, the total lockdown of the Philippine is implemented by the President.
Rodrigo “Roa” Duterte. This total lockdown is the way of the president to
prevent the widespread of the virus, COVID-19. Enhance Community Quarantine
(ECQ) was implemented due to the rapid spread of COVID-19. The Philippines
declared a state of calamity throughout the whole country, which means Laguna
is included. The exact date of the ECQ implemented by the president is on March
16, 2020. In ECQ, Laguna checkpoints are checking the motivation for travel.
Banning of public events, closure of commercial and retail businesses, closure
of schools and universities, social distancing, wearing of face masks and face
shields. Overall, Laguna was restricting the mass gatherings to prevent and of
course to lessen the chance of spreading the virus in the whole province. The
possible increase in the COVID-19 positivity rate in Laguna was prevented due
to the imposition of the Enhanced Community Quarantine which left 42 positive
cases on its last day.
