Throughout this course you will encounter several case application assignments. The case application assignment is an opportunity for you to demonstrate your analytical skills and competencies in applying your learning from the readings and other sources to an actual case situation. In the case assignment this week, you will have an opportunity to explore a specific employee condition (tattoos), and how it may be affected by laws on employee rights. Complete Exercise 4.2: Tattoos and Piercings: Are they acceptable in Public Safety Positions? This case is located on p. 133 of Pynes. To help with this assignment, you might also want to consider the following videos:

Complete Exercise 4.2: Tattoos in the Workplace. This case is located on page 133 of the Pynes textbook.

Your case application paper should be 3-5 pages in length, double-spaced, not including cover or reference pages. You are to use at least three outside resources (academic or professional) in addition to the textbook. Paper formatting and citations should follow the APA style guidelines.

Your paper should include the following sections:

  1. Introduction (a brief summary of the case)
  2. Responses to the two (2) questions at the end of the case
  3. Any additional recommendations or insights on the case derived from the case facts and additional readings you have conducted in completing this assignment

Your paper should be typed in a Word document and submitted in the dropbox. Please remember to keep a copy of the paper for your records.
