b)     To improve learning outcomes for all students through class participation.

 

Assessment Brief:

 

Operations management can have a profound effect on reducing cost incurred by an organisation, increasing its revenue, reducing the amount of investment needed and providing the basis for future innovation. It is increasingly important because a more turbulent and dynamic business environment requires new thinking from operations manager.

 

Deliverable:

 

You will be writing a report to Senior Executive Management demonstrating the application of your knowledge of Supply Management, Value Management, Innovation and Managing Service Operations, how to improve the operations over time and the translation of strategy into operational plan so as satisfy customers and important stakeholders.

 

Please cite examples to demonstrate your understanding of the transformation process.

 

NB: You can use examples and experience of past or current organisations as an important part of the transformation process.
