First Assignment question
To what extent can an enhanced understanding of informational literacy change how one approaches news on particular conflicts? To explain your answer, choose one war or conflict. It can be an intra-state conflict or an inter-state conflict (you remember reading these terms in our textbook). Describe how information literacy helps us understand it or know how to follow this conflict. Share one resource that demonstrates information literacy on the war or conflict in question (provide a link and citation). If you want to, you can also share and discuss a source that does a bad job of covering the conflict or war -- explain why it fails to provide good information or what shortcomings you identified.

News sources on the internet may be found in our Library (see the link on the left-side toolbar). The best database is Lexis Nexis. Do an "advanced search" to set date parameters for the past six months.
Remember to read your texts, watch the videos, and read any other materials in Week Seven Lessons. Include those ideas in your discussions.
Second Question
What do you consider to be the most enduring challenge to reconciliation in the Northern Ireland conflict? What would you think a better approach might be? Is this challenge common to all reconciliation processes or just Northern Ireland?
