Rhetorical Analysis include three main appeal of this analysis i.e. Ethos, Pathos and Logos.

Ethos- according to Douglass he has seen beat a woman, producing the blood to run half an hour

at a time; and her children were crying. For this situation he was the only witnessed. This quote

shows that he knows the correct situation about what he is talking. It has the ethos for spectators.

On the other side Twain brings a profound of the Mississippi River. He gave detailing its

ecology and the early efforts by travelers to graph the river's frequently traitorous waters.
