Description

We have been given volume of NaOH and pH with corresponding to volume of NaOH. By plotting the volume of NaOH given to the pH values, we get a graph as below.

From this graph we can get the equivalence point that is volume at pH 7. Equivalence point is the point at which equivalents of base or acid added equals to equivalents of acid or base present. So, from the graph equivalent point with respect to NaOH is 22mL corresponding to pH 7 hence, volume of HCL at equivalence point will be 22mL.

As we know that HCL and NaOH are strong acid and base, the neutralization reaction would be as

For C0 representing molar concentration of HCL V0 be volume of HCL be titrated with C representing molar concentration of NaOH and V be the volume of NaOH, following the charge balance we get
