Your assignment this week:
Step 1. Go to the following website: outofservice.com/bigfive
Step 2. Take the short quiz. Answer the questions honestly Do not answer any of the optional demographic questions at the end except for gender and age
Step 3. Consider the results and then answer the following questions:
a) Were you surprised by the overall results? If yes, what was the surprise. If no, do you think others would see you this way?
b) Take 2 of your strengths, and identify a situation in which these have (or could) help you in a work situation.
c) Of your weak areas, which are most likely to affect your relationships at work and why?
Bullet point answers are fine. Minimum response length: 500 words.
Notes to review before you start the assignment:
a) Answer should demonstrate that the student has taken the time to do the survey, and consider the results. The results should be compared to the characteristics demonstrated by the student in the HIM program, and marking should consider this relationship to what the student perceives, and how they answered the question.
b) Student should take 2 of the strengths identified in the test, and in their answer demonstrate that they understand how these strengths could/should be used in a positive way in the scenario they describe. The student must describe a situation, and not just discuss the traits in the abstract.
c) Student must take at least one of the weak areas, and fully describe how the trait can/will/might affect their working life. The answer must not just identify a trait, but must identify WHY that trait would impact their work relationships.
