Why is the Likert Scale considered an interval scale if the distance between two points is not calculable? For example, i cannot determine the value between "agree" and "somewhat agree" on a scale, so why would it not be ordinal? Everything is scored on a 7-point Likert scale characteristic of the measure of help essential to execute everything (1=total help, 7 = downright autonomy). A basic “summed score of 18 – 126” is gotten where 18 speak to finish reliance/all out help and 126 speak to complete. In scales utilizing summed “Likert scales”, data contained inside of individual reactions vanishes in the aggregate scale score.
