The work order dataset of MRO business and the capacity dataset
are attached here: workorder_data.txt
capacity_data.txt.
Your first assignment on MRO Database Manipulation includes
(1) Normalizing the dataset according to the depicted MRO Database
Information Architecture on previous page, and creating the datasets based on
the normalizations.
(2) Drawing the entity relationship diagram based on the
normalized datasets. Here, include extra three attributes that are not given in
the datasets but might be potentially important for future studies.
(3) Coming up with three SQL statements using left joins, and
executing them in R
(4) Creating three separate folders and exporting the results of
SQL statements in (3) to those external folders.
