You are required to review a published research paper that relates to some aspects of web technology and platforms, and then orally present your review comments on the selected paper individually.

General guides to help you select a suitable research paper:

You should carefully select one suitable research paper from a published Journal, Transactions, or Conference Proceedings [trivial articles ie.. from popular computer magazines, newsletters etc are not acceptable]. Your selected research paper should have been published within the recent 5 years. Your selected paper must address at least one of the following topics within the scope of web technology and platforms:

              • E-learning

              • E-commerce

              • E-health management

              • Content management system (CMS)

              • Customer relationship management (CRM)

              • Web Applications Requirements (ie. requirement analysis and/or modelling)

              • Web Applications Design

              • Web Applications Testing

              • Web Applications Project Management

              • Web Applications development lifecycle

 

You will be expected to take the initiative in selecting your paper.

 

The presentation should include comments in at least FOUR essential aspects:

              • An overview of the paper and its novel contribution to knowledge

              • Your evaluation of the software engineering techniques and/or methods used in this paper

              • Your critiques of the strengths and weaknesses of the authors’ work

              • Your review conclusion

 

You are advised to prepare PowerPoint slides in support of your presentation. A scanned copy of your reviewed research paper with reading evidence ie. reading notes, annotations or comments made on the paper
