JOB FAIR ATTENDANCE AND PAPER
You will attend the Hospitality, Recreation, and Tourism Career Fair this semester or heath science career. You must stay for at least one hour. You have two options to complete the assignment. Below is your assignment for our class.
Talk with at least three employers at the Fair. Consider asking some or all of the following:
Inquire about the employer’s college experience, including major, and how it relates to his/her current position.
Ask what experience or background is required for getting a job or internship with the employer’s organization.
If the person’s position, rather than the organization, is most interesting to you, ask what sort of qualifications and education are necessary for such a position.
Ask what advice the employer might give to a college student interested in this field.
Find out if the employer has any current internship opportunities and the procedure for learning about internships in the future.
Ask for the person’s business card.
Write a minimum of two-page highlighting information you learned from your time at the HRT Career Fair. Make sure to include a picture of the business cards you collected (the pictures don’t count to your two page minimum).
