Directions for Self-Evaluation Paper
You will be reflecting upon
and evaluating your skills as a counselor throughout the semester. However, at
the end of the semester you will complete a written (4 to 6 page)
evaluation of your current level of counseling skills and continued growth
areas, an evaluation of your progress made during the course, and your sense of
your future use of your skills.
You will be assessed on your
professional presentation of writing, as well as ability to accurately evaluate
your own level of functioning, identify areas of needed growth, and assess your
progress.
You are required to incorporate
at least two sources as references in your paper. These
references can be about theory or orientation which you believe you will
utilize most in your clinical practice, in addition to the clinical skills and
modalities that may suit that theory or population served. It can also be regarding
counseling skills in general or the population or presenting issue you intend
to work with most. Books and journal articles are acceptable. It is permissible
to use the course textbook as one of your sources.
Your paper must be in APA 6th
